Not the WC Fever

We all went through this.

I did, Min did and now it is Fei’s turn. Exactly four days ago, she registered herself into UKM to pursue her undergraduate studies.

Funny. Funny that I have this sudden feeling of missing her. For the two years I’ve been home post graduation, I have to say I spent most time with her at home as Min is often busy with uni projects and activities. Seldom we talk a lot, but we were always there for one another. How we bonded.

We spend most of our time in front of the idiot box every day. Unlike me, she will be reading her books more than concentrating to the drama played.  Still, she is very attentive to everyone’s needs at home. She would drop whatever she was doing to attend to everyone of us despite however ridiculous our requests were.

I miss her, yes! Baby sister, come home this weekend!!!

Where Did My Pillar of Strength Go To?

5 years, if not more, since he left. Nothing. He left nothing behind except those few words which I can never forget. It feels horrible. I miss him so much that I do not understand why I still would after these long years. He would have know what I need during my lowest point of life. He used to be there.

“You used to captivate me
By your resonating life
Now I’m bound by the life you’ve left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me
I’ve tried so hard to tell myself that you’re gone
But though you’re still with me
I’ve been alone all along.”

Vincent, you are dearly missed.

The Other Weekend, The Other Highlight.

IMG_0710

The highlight of the weekend was Adrian turning 25 with a bunch of lovely friends like us! :D He organised a pool side party and gathered everyone possible there. So many people, so many presents! And when talking about pool side, the intention is rather apparent- for them to throw you into the pool, get drenched and next thing, fall sick! *LoLs*

Something which I would want to penned down specifically. Alex’s masterpiece on Adrian’s birthday present wrapper. You have a look and tell me what do you think :)

 IMG_0705

In this, you can see myself with the initials XY, Ying Shing and Alex himself. Me with the bangs!

 IMG_0706

  1. Boon Aik- do I even need to tell you why he is on an aeroplane? ;p
  2. David with his renowned height, explains the legs!
  3. Yi Ming with his camera
  4. Sew- I seriously dunno what it means except for the S he wears! Oh! Where’s the hidden mole? (^_*)

IMG_0707

  1. Darren- isn’t the colour apparent? *LoLs*
  2. Timmy- with the size… and the hair!
  3. Eu Jin completes the depiction of the three stooges! :D

 IMG_0704

The complete view of Alex’s masterpiece! Everyone was in an awe, I bet you too!

 IMG_0711

And so, Alex thought it was only right to also draw a portrait of Adrian, the birthday boy with us witnessing his talents! *jaws dropped*

IMG_0712

With just one liquid paper and a black marker.

 IMG_0713

It amazes me how Alex remembers the details of one. Adrian’s puffy cheeks, earrings…

 IMG_0714

The Nike which Adrian will normally clad in.

 IMG_0715

Alex is just so….. i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e!

 IMG_0716

Final touches before Adrian’s birthday portrait is all ready! :D

 IMG_0717

Adrian with all smiles.

You think the above art work is good? You can have more of them from Alex’s blog itself.

Aug 25

Dear Min,

A very happy 21st!

Being 21 is not only about getting your key k? ;p

Being 21 doesn’t mean that we can’t go under the same sheet in the middle of the night together anymore!

Being 21 is also doesn’t mean I will not chauffeur you around (though most of the times you don’t need it)

Being 21 is still okay to watch Barney on Disney ;)

But….. being 21 means you’re one grown up young lady,

More responsibilities,

More commitments,

More undertakings in life.

Whatever it takes, I am always around! :D

p/s: you must have enjoyed all we’ve done for you!!! *Awww!!* :) BUT…. suprises bound to happen when you least expect it, dear sister! ;p

Have a blast, have a good one! (bet my 21st was better ;p) More about this special girl here.

One of the weekends….

“Kids are rather lucky these days!” I told myself when I saw one of Qii Qii’s toys. Amazes me how elaborate toys could be. Her mum got her a kitchen set which has an oven, microwave and an electric stove that could generate some sound effects. “Wow!” was my reaction.

IMG_0543

And obviously, the set came with the other “kitchen utensils” too! Toys! Which reminds me of an incident where I was telling a friend how much time I sometimes spend in Toys “R” Us just looking at the new toys in town, while compensating some of which I have missed during my childhood. Doesn’t it amaze you how innovative the toys are like now? Not only your mobile phones or play stations have improved. Even the classic ‘masak-masak’ toy which I am sure many of us had during our younger days have been improvised so much.

*impressed!!!*

 IMG_0546

I enjoyed as much as Qii while playing the set with her. And I also understand now why they say it is so costly to have kids these days! Inflation, rise in prices…. bla bla bla! SOOOoo need to pass my exam for my pay rise!!! =.=”

The Other Highlight

A friend getting married. She is the first amongst us to get wedded. She is one of my BFFs in the picture on the panel on top of MUSINGS~ (you see how excited I am?) To add to the joy, I was involved in match making this couple! ;p Now you understand why I kept talking about the wedding earlier? *winks* I was practically counting down since the beginning of the year for their wedding… The best of all is being involved in the whole event. Though the pictures I have is not as much as I could story-tell because most times, I was having fun myself and Ms Canon Ixus was left in the bag! So what I have here is what I managed! :)

Fun started ever since I touched down Kuching but the highlight begins with the bachelor night we celebrated with Alex! Drinks, nonsense……

<THE NIGHT BEFORE>

 IMG_0377-edit

Managed a few shots….

 IMG_0370-edit

In case you were wondering, this group of people are those selected few who taught me bad when I was still a naive student…… (believe me!)

IMG_0369-edit

Meet Kenny :) Some one whom I need to introduce to all of you- a story to tell, other words! *coughs*

 IMG_0372-edit

And this devil here who needs little introduction :)

It was an unfortunate that not all of us were able to get together though most of us were there. Hui had her bf commitments, some had family commitments… etc! But the wedding day is another highlight to watch! *winks*

<THE WEDDING DAY>

 IMG_0399-edit

We woke up as early as 5 in the morning to get ready to “zheng gu” the “heng tais“. It was the best part of the wedding day, I would say! Don’t ask me why it is so early, apparently some custom believes on the ‘appropriate’ time for the groom to wed the bride, etc…

 IMG_0402-edit

One of the tricks contributed by your’s truly (^_*) was stuffing toothpaste into the Oreo cookies- substituting the usual cream in it, and made the “heng tais“ eat it! =p *muahahahaha* But on the actual day, I was in charge on the door locks for the wedding door game*.

IMG_0444-edit

A traditional chinese wedding my friends had. Many believes, customs and pantang which I have not heard before but learning it this time did make some sense in me :) One of them was sticking this “hei” stickers on all the wedding percussions. It symbolises prosperity and happiness to the wedding couple. Now, you know! ;p

 IMG_0428-edit

Obviously, this had its own reason too, but I do not know. *whoops!*

 IMG_0427-edit

Alright, this pair of chicken. What I know is about this is that when we were coming from the bride’s place after the groom went through all his hurdles played by us, the “zhi muis, it has to go into their new home before the newly weds walked inside the house.

 IMG_0061-edit

And if you ask me, I think this is the only motivation for me to consider about getting married at this point of time :p *LoLs* You see te MYR 50 notes? Basically, the bride will be bringing all her belongings of herself to her new home with her during this day. Money, accessories, clothes etc…. As to the traditional chinese believes, as long as you are not married, you are still your parent’s child thus even your own money belongs to them because they are the ones who brought you up. So, once you are married, you are entitled to your own belongings :)

 IMG_0425-edit

So, this is a clearer view on the wedding percussions I was talking about.

 IMG_0404-edit

Presenting to you the wedding couple! How sweeeett!!! ;)

 IMG_0395-edit

Still got time to camwhore! *LoLs*

 IMG_0065-edit

Like said, this wedding is extra memorable as Mei is the first to get married among the four of us. I am happy for her.

IMG_0099-edit

In case you were wondering which four I was talking about, the other two are Jing and Hui, my partners in crime during uni days- Miss BFFS! ;p Oh yea! Both Mei and Alex are born in the year of rat- explains why the Mickey and Minnie pair is used as their car deco.

IMG_0095-edit

Seen here is Jing and Eric, the next expected couple to get married- also the reason I will be heading back to Kuching next year! :)

 IMG_0447-edit

So, the “zhi muis“. p/s: check out their wedding portrait! I so likey it…

 IMG_0093-edit

And the “heng tais” who swallowed my version of Oreo earlier! *muahahahaha!*

<THE WEDDING DINNER>

Just a couple of hours later, we had to prepare for the dinner already. I was never so involved in a wedding before. But this particular one, we even had to perform on stage for them, and gave a congratulatory speech. Sighs! Haven’t been practising my Mandarin since I came back so, I was really *embarassed*! The dinner was held at the Bangkok Thai restaurant, food was awesome!!!

 IMG_0464-edit

After the hair wash and blow- can manage to camwhore! :)

 IMG_0467-edit

And more camwhore pictures! Three of us and a camera… need more say? ;p

IMG_0117-edit

Some other random pictures taken. Just look at Marcus!!!! *grr*

 IMG_0470-edit

With Mei, and a kepo Kenny.

 IMG_0475-edit

So, I took a picture with him since he wanted to appear in pictures so much! LoLs!!!!

IMG_0476-edit

This finale is a MUST take. Us and them. Much to tell but do not know how to explain. We are very happy for the both of them and would like to wish them all the good for their wedding!
