The CNY Preparation

Shopping… shopping… shopping… and more shopping!!! :D

Was stucked in 1U’s carpark for more than one hour. Congested like MAD! Traffic was horrendous! And the management didn’t even bother to sort for a solution. Speaking of it makes me stress. And by mentioning the stress word makes me even more stressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides that, I did this little something over the weekend too :) It’s about time  I should really put Min on my appreciation list. She makes blogging so much easier for me. LoL!

The Other Weekend, The Other Highlight.

IMG_0710

The highlight of the weekend was Adrian turning 25 with a bunch of lovely friends like us! :D He organised a pool side party and gathered everyone possible there. So many people, so many presents! And when talking about pool side, the intention is rather apparent- for them to throw you into the pool, get drenched and next thing, fall sick! *LoLs*

Something which I would want to penned down specifically. Alex’s masterpiece on Adrian’s birthday present wrapper. You have a look and tell me what do you think :)

 IMG_0705

In this, you can see myself with the initials XY, Ying Shing and Alex himself. Me with the bangs!

 IMG_0706

  1. Boon Aik- do I even need to tell you why he is on an aeroplane? ;p
  2. David with his renowned height, explains the legs!
  3. Yi Ming with his camera
  4. Sew- I seriously dunno what it means except for the S he wears! Oh! Where’s the hidden mole? (^_*)

IMG_0707

  1. Darren- isn’t the colour apparent? *LoLs*
  2. Timmy- with the size… and the hair!
  3. Eu Jin completes the depiction of the three stooges! :D

 IMG_0704

The complete view of Alex’s masterpiece! Everyone was in an awe, I bet you too!

 IMG_0711

And so, Alex thought it was only right to also draw a portrait of Adrian, the birthday boy with us witnessing his talents! *jaws dropped*

IMG_0712

With just one liquid paper and a black marker.

 IMG_0713

It amazes me how Alex remembers the details of one. Adrian’s puffy cheeks, earrings…

 IMG_0714

The Nike which Adrian will normally clad in.

 IMG_0715

Alex is just so….. i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e!

 IMG_0716

Final touches before Adrian’s birthday portrait is all ready! :D

 IMG_0717

Adrian with all smiles.

You think the above art work is good? You can have more of them from Alex’s blog itself.

Of The Weekend, The Highlight.

 IMG_0687

Fei and myself after Min’s 21st birthday dinner earlier, also when my hair was at its longest level for the year of 2009!

I failed yet again. My attempt to keep my hair long. I cannot stand it curving out from my shoulders despite me blowing it dry after every shower. I cannot stand the amount of hair I lose after every hair wash. I cannot stand how out of shape it is. And yes, I finally decided to cut it. Shorter than ever.

The long weekend was very productive for me. I met up with people I haven’t seen in ages and have been wanting to meet up since I cannot recall when. :p Reminiscing old times, catching up. Oh my! I miss those days. Friends. And to know how you get to Germany with just one essay, Titus, I am so proud of you! :)

The countdown to Merdeka was a highlight too. Another bunch of them, recollecting times and catching up. Had been a while since I saw the group of you got wasted though it was only Wee who got a little knocked off compared to the rest that night. And Pat, you are so not forgiven for not making it!

The weekend sealed with a karaoke session with another group of friends. Karaoke!!! I was yearning for it since I was shading answers on my Module 1 multiple choice answer sheet. Got it done, visited Qii Qii the darling later in the evening.

Eventful, wasn’t it? :)

2009 Highlight #1

Jungle trekking. “Laila Sari” was the place. With a group of friends.

The trekking, was not only an achievement I did after such a long time not doing anything outdoor but the highlight was the personal growth in me. Climbing on steep hills, trying to balance on top of the cliff, and avoiding the bugs in the jungle was not as easy as I thought. On the way into the woods, I took the trek rather lightly. I didn’t know it could have been quite strenuous. But when my friends and I reached to the water fall, all hard work paid off.

 jungle-river-lg

We complained, we sulked and even part of me even regretted half way through trekking. I could have spend my Sunday morning sleeping, resting while getting ready for the working week, why did I choose to do this? I asked myself. The completion of the journey gave me a very rewarding feeling and as said earlier, I learnt something from this. I figured that nothing in life will come easy without any hardship nor strong will. And even so, we will only appreciate what we achieve through it. Completing the trek is not difficult I must say but the gratifying achievement I couldn’t express more in words. It is no big deal to most of you but it was the personal growth which I achieved that made it the year’s highlight to me.

p/s: I didn’t carry my camera with me as I thought I couldn’t juggle which I am right hence it explains why there is no pictures posted.

Snippet of My Kuching Trip

I am wayyyy behind time for this. Remember my trip back to Kuching for Mei’s wedding? Bet you might have forgotten already since it had been a while. *LoLs* so, I went back some where last month and I had so much fun meeting up with all my friends! *laughs by myself at this point while thinking back of the trip* Definitely, the trip is one of my 2009 highlights as well. I miss the scenery, the people, the food and the places in Kuching. To top it all, a group of crazy and fun friends to fool around with! ^_^ My BFFs and I tried catching up with all those we used to do during our studying days.

NONSENSE #1:

One of those “nonsense” we did was driving back to Unimas in Samarahan- that is like 30mins from town just to have some recollection together!

 IMG_0319-edit

Hui, Mei, myself and Jing in front of the infamous water tank of Unimas. We had a camera man too! *winks*

 IMG_0328-edit

Fortunately, the students were on their semester break while we went there thus we were able to do stuff we want randomly like taking shots at where we shared “memories”- the good, bad and ugly together! ;p This was taken in front of the fac. One year ago, we stood here with our robes snapping our graduation shots. Who would have thought one year later, we would have came back for some nonsense! LoLs!

 IMG_0324-edit

And even MORE nonsense pictures!

 IMG_0337-edit

This is one place where we will NEVER forget! The exam hall! Where last minute studying is done right before the exam, prize giving ceremonies…. etc!

 NONSENSE #2:

 IMG_0343-edit

Our weekend activity! Karaoke!!! *sings* Been a while since I sang some mandarin songs because I need Jing and Hui around to choose those songs. Did I have fun? Of course!

NONSENSE #3:

 IMG_0013-edit

A full body massage! Caught here is my two friends who tries to be whom I find funny. ;p

 IMG_0015-edit

Nonsense people who are full of nonsense! *dies laughing*

 NONSENSE #4:

IMG_0021-edit

Girls and manicure!! (^_*)

Lastly, NONSENSE #5:

 IMG_0341-edit

Shopping!!!!!

I almost forgot. We camwhore too! Loads and lots of pictures. One of them here with Jing.

 IMG_0356-edit

Our time together will never be complete without camwhoring! *LoLs* But we didn’t have enough time for movies though. :(

p/s: I will cover on Mei’s wedding soon. I am currently organizing the pictures. :) I am also trying to personalise a theme for MUSINGS~, which could explain why my updates been slowed down. And yea, PKMC too! Better get back to books. ;)

GOOD WEEKEND! (^_*)

Penang: Day 1

Penang was such a highlight. And like promised, I will do a full cover of the trip. Hopefully, by reading this, my readers may get the “feel” of what I experienced. This is not my first trip to this famous eatery state (in fact, all my friends who went, had gone there before) but this trip deserves a talk as the food we had was absolutely wonderful. I must say we were very lucky as we had some local friends to take us around the place (^_^)

We were supposed to fly in with AK 5350 which departs as early as 0655 hrs from LCCT KLIA. Yea, I know. Madness! We had to reach the airport by 6am- when I normally wake up for work. All of us had trouble waking up including myself. I barely made it. Guess what? Connie and Sok Yen missed the flight! *pouts feeling sad* :~(

morning-blog2

Yes, the sun had not even rised yet. *yawns* We arrived in Penang as early as 0730. On normal days, I haven’t even step in the office yet. For holidays, I would. For work? *coughs!*

bread-blog2

A healthy breakfast right after we touched down Penang International Airport- bread! :)

Destination no. 3: Bukit Bendera

 IMG_0131-blog2

Super many blogwhore pics leh? More to come ;p *LoLs*

 IMG_0132-blog2

And look at THIS!!!! Even Penang has their very own Asia Cafe- very alike our SS15 AC isn’ t it? I had the exact same reaction!

Remember both Connie and Sok Yen? My friends who missed the flight earlier? No, we didn’t forget about them. They found their way and met up with us for lunch :) *smiles widely*

 lunch-blog2

It was a seafood lunch. Everyone was hungry. So am I. But the empty plates would make you envy I am sure! *ngek ngek ngek*

IMG_0172-blog2

Another alternative into the island :) *jumps to tell* My first time on the ferry! I was laughed at when I questioned my friends, “Huh? Are you sure, Chelsea? You don’t know these ferries carry the vehicles on them?” while raising their eye-brows :(

 IMG_0177-blog2

See Penang island? *Smiles* beautiful.

 khookongsi-blog2

Destination no. 4: Khoo Kongsi. Are you a Khoo? Please tell me more about this place. I only saw a lot of Khoo names all around. Apparently it is a very famous spot in Penang. *Laughs at myself being a Malaysian*

 untitled-blog2

Then we stopped at Penang Hill for the famous cendol to quench our thirst :)

 IMG_0199-blog1

The next place we stopped at was Bukit Genting where we were going to have dinner. Some hill on top of Penang where food is serve and you could enjoy the sun set as well.

 IMG_0208-blog2

Sok Yen and I cannot resist but to camwhore with the sceneries.

IMG_0200-blog2

*muahaha* need to say more?

 IMG_0214-blog2

We had the whole day with these people from Prai. The group picture was a MUST take! :) Thank you all! But WAIT!!!!! The night has not ended yet. We took a stroll to Batu Ferringhi and was told that Hard Rock Penang will be opening in August! *wiNKs* You thinking what I am thinking? *LoLs*

Then… supper at Gurney drive (^_^)

THE HIGHLIGHT FOR THE DAY…….

MPPP-blog2

MPPP (Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang- I assume) at work on a Saturday. I am IMPRESSED!!!! Hot, sunny, humid afternoon. He was working diligently, doing his responsibilities. When most of us are probably sitting at home avoiding the sun, this hardworking man is working, and I should say again, on a Saturday!

HIGHLIGHT No. 2

 will-xtra-blog2

William + food. Breakfast, lunch, cendol for tea, dinner, Gurney Drive’s char kuey teow for supper= not enough. He was still eating when Connie, Sok Yen and myself were all getting ready for bed after a long eventful day. He is caught red-handed here still eating even in the hotel room! ;p *laughs super loud* And I am serious!

Day 2 of Penang will be posted up soon with more good food, fun places and weird highlights to be bragged about :)

A Sniff Of Penang

I am back from a short trip up north Penang last weekend :) But due to delay in flights, lack of sleep and over exhaustion, I only manage a few pictures from the trip. But, I promise for a full cover on that alright? Besides, that is what MUSINGS~ is all about :)

Let us begin. To begin with,

4

Famous hawker food at Gurney Drive :) I’ve told you MANY MANY times, Penang is

ALL ABOUT FOOD! (^_*)

7

If I am not able to convince you, maybe William would. Look at those plates on the table! *wINKs*

5

Besides, food. We enjoyed some good sceneries too.

3

Calming, relaxed. It definitely helped after some hectic time at work :) *sMiLes*

61

And a whole lot of random stuff which I did- as usual! *giggles*

2

Most importantly, I had a great company of friends throughout the trip. We ate a lot, played VERY much, fooled around, didn’t behave much, didn’t sleep much….. and I just cannot share more. This is just a snippet of my eventful trip. I will update it as soon as time allows :) *patience!*
