Being 21 doesn’t mean that we can’t go under the same sheet in the middle of the night together anymore!

Being 21 is also doesn’t mean I will not chauffeur you around (though most of the times you don’t need it)

Being 21 is still okay to watch Barney on Disney ;)

But….. being 21 means you’re one grown up young lady,

More responsibilities,

More commitments,

More undertakings in life.

Whatever it takes, I am always around! :D

It is another important person’s birthday today. Hui, another one of my BFF turns 24 today! *jumps excitedly*

I met her during my uni days, first academic year to be exact. Though I have completed my undergraduate studies for some time now but I can never forget how I stumbed upon this good friend. I was going through some of my “growing up phases” in life while I was away from home. I was going through a break up, and was home-saking.

I am those who would seclude myself while facing problems, and I am one who thinks a lot by myself. As I was walking back to hostel during that shity period one day, Hui came and comforted me. She didn’t ask nor did she try to ask if I was unhappy but she knew I was going through some rough patches. She invited me to join her for dinner and often offered me her room to study together. Jing was her room mate back then.(Jing turned 24 earlier this year and there is a cover on her big day here) Though the three of us are coursemates but we have never spoken to each other until then.

I must say, when you are far away from home while going through shity moments, some one comes along and treat you like family, the bond strengthens- strongly. From an acquainted course mate, we became friends, room mates, good friends, partners in crime…. and you name it! Back in uni, the three of us have done LOADS of nonsense. We laugh and cry together, rush for assignments, listened to each other, movies, karaoke, skipped classes, even argued before….. we are more than just friends. One of our friend once joked about the three of us saying, “The three of you are so often together as if like some bargains from the mall where you buy 1 and get 2 for free!” To some, they can never understand why because the saying that “three’s a crowd” never applies to us! ;) The unfortunate part is that the three of us lives in the different corners of the country and we seldom meet post graduation due to our own commitments.

Thinking of the both of them makes me feel like tearing while recalling times with them especially after my trip to Kuching earlier- oh! The wedding! One of our “accomplishments” as well. *LoLs* We were indirect match makers of the wedding couple. (yes! I promise to cover on that soon!!! ;p)

So, meet Hui… The birthday girl!

Oh ya! When we are together, we do a WHOLE lot of nonsense! Probably her act will tell you anyway. :p

A good friend of mine turned 23 today. We shared a friendship more than 10 years (and counting, of course!) :) I hope this young lady gets she wants in life and may it be in the near future. All the best in all you do and have a blast, dear Wai Nee :)
